  • The QC sampling / chemists reports to the Quality Director. (Non-exempt position)
  • Education / Experience
  • College degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, bio-chemistry or another related field
  • We are looking for a candidate that can multitask. Work with production and lab work.
  • The candidate needs to have experience in supplemental, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, food, or drinks (any FDA regulated industry)
  • Preferred: experience with analytical chemistry laboratory methods and equipment use and function. Instrumentation and methods such as HPLC, HPTLC, IR, GS and GCMS, etc.
  • This is a highly independent position and the job requires that the materials are sampled continuously from receiving, production to shipping
  • Must have excellent math skills.
  • Exceptionally attention to detail.
  • Must be proficient in the general use of computers including Windows, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • The physical requirements are stressful and include lifting and moving up to 25kg boxes, drums and bags.
  • This position requires body movements include walking, reaching, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, hands and fingers.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English to interact with staff auditors, clients, employees, vendors, and other professionals
  • This position requires multi-tasking in a production environment that includes dust and other possible irritants to both the respiratory system and the skin.
  • Making sure that all production operations are compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s) under 21 CFR Part 111
  • Provide the support necessary to assure that dietary products manufactured at Best Life conform to standards of identity, purity, strength, composition and limits of contaminants.
  • Sampling incoming and production raw materials in compliance with SOPs and cGMP’s in a sanitary manner including completing proper documentation.
  • Testing of all finished products to test for potency and purity.
  • Quality control chemists are responsible to communicate effectively and immediately with management and team members regarding non-compliance issues.
  • Provide QC guidance on testing activities per SOPs and cGMPs.
  • Providing assistance to other personnel as requested with regards to any quality issues including documentarian and testing.
  • Monitoring all lab activities during the working shift on a regular and repeated basis as well as completing necessary Quality documentation.
  • Assisting the quality department to maintain compliance with regulations including but not limited to administrative functions
  • Other duties assigned by Management.
  • Willing to undergo background and drug test.
  • Full time. Monday – Friday.
